Waatu — Inside The Ungasan Clifftop Resort, this is a yakitori and open-flame grill restaurant where literally everything is cooked over coals, no gas or electricity involved. It's the newest big name on this list and the one I send people to when they want something they can't get anywhere else on the peninsula. Dinner only, reservations genuinely necessary.

Fine Dining and Special Occasions

Rockfish Cliffside — Built into a limestone cave 70 meters above the ocean with a glass-floored terrace, this is Uluwatu's most photographed dinner reservation. Worth its own mention, because it's a different kind of meal entirely — eating at a beach club is as much about the setting as the plate.
